Hockey NS/NSU15 Major Hockey League announce new franchise

Hockey Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League, announced today that a new league franchise has been awarded in the Cole Harbour-Eastern Shore region.

Following a call for bids last month and a thorough selection process, an entry from an operating group consisting of Tyson Aalders and Shane Robar was selected as the winning bid in Region 5 (including the boundaries of the Cole Harbour Bel Ayr Minor Hockey Association and Eastern Shore Minor Hockey Association).

The new franchise will be branded as the Harbour Rage and will begin operations during the upcoming 2023-24 Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League season.

The new team operators bring several years of coaching and administrative experience at various levels of hockey in Nova Scotia to the new club.

The Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League is made up of 12 teams from across the province and is the top male U15 league in Nova Scotia.

Hockey Nova Scotia would like to congratulate Tyson Aalders and Shane Robar on their winning bid and wish their team the best of luck next season.
