Hurricanes Move Onto Provincial Championships
The BMO Western Hurricanes have earned a berth in the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League Provincial Championships by sweeping their playoff series in two straight games against the Cole Harbour - Eastern Shore Storm this past weekend.
In game # 1 on Saturday at Cole Harbour Place, a tight checking game was thrown at the Hurricanes, but tenacity, discipline and second efforts payed dividends on route to a 6 - 3 victory to take the series lead.
Game # 2 puck drop was set for only 14 hours later on home ice at Queens Place Emera Centre. Knowing they had a chance at a series sweep, it was all Hurricanes from the first shift of the game to the end of game buzzer. A complete game by the entire line up resulted in an 8 - 1 win.

With the playoff series win, the Hurricanes are now headed to Cape Breton for the NSMBHL Provincial Championship from March 7 - 10.
