Successful Weekend - Two Wins & Money Raised
The BMO Western Hurricanes really wish to extend a big thank you to all those who attended our home game this Saturday when we hosted Pink in the Rink game in support of the fight against cancer. The game was a success on and off the ice. On the ice, the Hurricanes skated hard to a 6 - 1 victory over the Valley Wildcats. Off the ice, fans dug deep into their pockets and lots of money was raised from admissions, 50/50 sales, ticket sales and donations. Thanks to all of you, we raised $ 800. Thank you all very much.
On Sunday morning, a match up again against the Valley Wildcats resulted in another solid effort by Hurricane players. When the final buzzer rang, it was a 5 -2 win for the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes are at home again next week with a Saturday evening match up vs. Bay Gulls and on Sunday vs. Halifax Hawks. Both games are being played at the LCLC in Bridewater. Saturday puck drop is at 7:45 and Sunday at noon.
