In Memory of Billy Joe MacLean

The Novas organization wishes to acknowledge the passing of Billy Joe MacLean, a key figure in the formation of our hockey team and a well-known public figure in our region.

Though he has not been involved with the team in recent years, Billy Joe played an instrumental role in helping our area secure a franchise in what would become the Nova Scotia U15 Major Hockey League. His early support and efforts were vital in establishing a foundation for what The Novas have become today.

We extend our condolences to the MacLean family and honour Billy Joe’s role in our history.

2024-2025 Annual Awards

The Novas met one last time this week to celebrate a season full of growth, memories, and hard work. It was a chance to come together as a group one final time and reflect on the journey that was shared. We also took the opportunity to recognize a few players with individual awards for their outstanding contributions throughout the year.
Thank you to the players, families, coaches, and supporters who made this season special — we’re proud of everything this team accomplished!
