Kidney Drafted to the Montreal Canadians
This past weekend we saw and heard, Riley Kidney's name being called in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Riley played for the Rangers from 2016-2018 and played a huge role in our Championship Title 2016-2017 as a rookie. During his second season, Riley was our team captain, finshed the regular season with 80 points and help lead our team to a 2nd place finish at League Championships. Riley went on to play for the Cole Harbor Wolfpack U18 Major and represent Nova Scotia at Canada Winter Games in 2019 and is currently with the Acadie-Bathurst Titans of the QMJHL
Riley becomes the 3rd player from our program to get drafted to the NHL, as he joins Evan Fitzpatrick (St.Louis Blues 2016, 2nd round 59th overall) and Ryan Francis (Calgary Flames 2020, 5th round 143 overall) in hearing their names being called.
Amazing weekend for Riley and his family and congrats to all the other Nova Scotian players to hear their names called. #NSPROUD #PROUDOFOURALUMNI #RANGERPRIDE #HNS
